Onboarding, particularly for leaders, is a crucible of leadership, a trigger for change. Done well, the chances of success for the leader, team, change initiative and the enterprise increase substantially. Done poorly, businesses flounder, change stagnates, teams disintegrate and leaders lose their jobs. If not addressed, ineffective executive onboarding leads to a cycle of attrition and broad decline.

During this session,  you will learn different strategies for successfully onboarding leaders, including how to:

 

  • Prepare for possible reasons for failure during critical transitions such as leaders entering a new role, combining teams after an acquisition, and jumpstarting a stalled team during a transformation
  • Implement a model for increasing success during the first 100 days of Executive Onboarding, Team Onboarding and Strategic Re-starts
  • Facilitate discussion around tools and best practices in these types of critical leadership transitions
  • Build internal support for onboarding efforts around critical business and leadership transitions
